General Information:  The West Highland White Terrier originated from Poltalloch, Scotland.  Notable characteristics include strong will, spunk, determination, and intelligence.  This dog is a game terrier and is well suited for both indoor and outdoor activity.  The Norwich Terrier is also hardy and often described as weatherproof breed.  Their small size is misleading, this fearless dog is bred to hunt vermin and is considered a working terrier.  Distinguishing characteristics include the prick ears and fox like expression.  The Cairn Terrier is described as alert, sturdy, and suited for rough play with children.  Discipline is a must for this working terrier belonging to the short- legged class.
